What is Spirituality?
What is spirituality?
Spirituality is the practice of learning about the Self through inward and outward disciplines. One who is Spiritual, is one who is seeking Self-Realization, and has decided to start attempting to answer the most important questions in life such as : Why are we here? What is the Self? What is God? What is the Nature of Reality? What is the purpose of existence? What happens after death? Etc.
In the above paragraph, I mentioned inward as well as outward disciplines.
Inward disciplines are any practice that involves going inward. In order to achieve enlightenment, one must travel inward, within one’s Self, to find the truth. We have all the answers inside, and eventually we will be able to access them as long as we look for them sincerely, with all our heart. Some examples of inward practices are Meditation, Astral Projection, Lucid Dreaming, and the study and analysis of our many Egos or negative traits, with the goal of reducing them to cosmic dust.
Outward disciplines, would then be considered anything that involves searching for the truth outside of one’s Self. This is extremely important as well, because before we can successfully retrieve the answers from within, we must be taught HOW TO DO THAT. Some examples of Outward Disciplines would be listening to lectures, learning from a teacher, Studying with a Guru or Master, and of course, READING BOOKS.
It is important, however, to read the RIGHT BOOKS, and with that in mind, I have created this website so that you may find in 7 minutes, what took me 7 years to uncover…the most important spiritual books in existence.
