The Matrix
One of the most famous movies of all time, The Matrix is truly a masterpiece. Even though most people fell in love with this movie because of the breakthrough special effects, action scenes, and bullet dodging, behind the curtain lies a groundbreaking message. The story, is an exact reflection of society in so many ways. Think about it… an army of robots (the machine) puts the entire human population into a dreamlike state, and sucks our energy to power them.
Waking up, as Neo, Morpheus, and the rest of Zion has done, is a metaphor for a spiritual awakening. Upon awakening, you realize that you were asleep the whole time, you gain supernatural powers, and you finally see the world how it really is.
This timeless classic is one of my favorite movies and should be owned by everyone.
